Out of all of our presentations, I can relate to Franks presentation about music. I can relate because I play guitar and write songs, and it is hard to be told that your work is no good. I can also relate to his topic on the message behind songs. When my sister was in the hospital I wrote a song dedicated to her and it really helped me bring myself back up. This was an effective topic in my mind because there are to many people who judge a band by how they look. They really just need to listen to the messages in the lyrics and take a second to rewrite their opinion on certain bands.

PLN 2

I read an article in the New York Times about ultimate Frisbee. This article changed my perspective of the sport.  At one point I thought it was a small sport and that only boys played. I was sadly mistaken. It turns out that ultimate Frisbee is played around the world and equally by men and women. This makes me think that since ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, that I could one day take place in a bigger role than just a player or a follower, I could possibly help in the development of a professional league one day. This makes me proud to be a player in the early developmental stages of the game, and gives me motivation to work that much harder, not only as a player but as a figure of the game.

PLN #3

In the story The Most Dangerous Game, certain examples express that the author was intending this story to be suspenseful. He reflects this in many ways such as when Rainsford is in the tree and the general looks up the tree right up until his branch. This is suspenseful because the reader does not know what the outcome will be and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.He also expresses suspense when the dog falls into the trap by the sounds he writes the dog screeching he is intending suspense. Finally he depicts suspense when Ivan is killed by the knife. He explains the search group hot on the trail of Rainsford when Ivan is slashed by the knife and killed.

I think that the reading i am doin this course of the school year is challenging my thinking with its twisted plotline and its various refernces to other parts of the story. Iam reading It by stephen king. It is a very detailed book so I have to stay on top of what is happening. I feel that the book is very educating and will help me in my struggles of reading.
